When a group of friends or colleagues meet they often share with others, some of the cool SMS’s that they received. We wanted to bring the same experience online and on 160by2. That way our users share their SMS not just with people they know but with the whole SMS community on 160by2. So we designed the “Shared SMS” feature.
You can share SMS jokes, quotes and lots of other cool SMS’s with the other members of 160by2 SMS community. We plan to make “Shared SMS” more interactive and interesting by enabling
- Sharing of SMS’s from Users’ mobile phones
- Vote for your favorite SMS
- Search for shared SMS using Tags
- List all SMS by a particular user
- Report abusive and offensive SMS
The shared messages with most votes and most forwards will rise to the top so that visitors get to view quality SMS, and the junk content goes to the bottom of the heap. Today each SMS is being shown as and when it is shared, but as the activity increases we will refine it and incorporate the above mentioned features as we progress.
Give us your feedback and any suggestions you have regarding the way this feature should develop to make it very interesting.
