2008 – From Good to Better
It has been a long time since the last post!! Seems, like there is going to be a storm after such a long calm. So, here we go:
Firstly, we had noticed that the typical user’s usage was limited to “logging in, Sending message, logging out“. Most users were not even using features like Add contacts, Add groups, etc.., Hence we decided to add “Did you know?” column to explain about the other features we have… After all, it is all about Convenience!!
Secondly, we have added a couple of Registration columns to get a better understanding about you, our user. Before someone starts flaming us, let me clarify, it is just two fields, which would take less than 10 seconds to choose.
Thirdly, we have hit a number of milestones in the past month. We had crossed the 10 million message mark on Jan 10th… We closed Jan, 2008 with Over 57 Lakh messages touching 12.4L mobiles…. A growth of over 50% monthly!!!
We also faced a number of challenges on the message delivery front… Though a lot of this was from the operator end, we did face a few issues with regards to our Engine… After a few sleepless nights & many a tweaking, we had solved the issue and our throughput has gone up by over 20%… Now, ALL messages are pushed in less than half a second!!! We plan to push this up further… More news as it happens.
Finally, on the advertising front, we have bagged a number of new campaigns, mostly from the Industry Biggies… Our TAR ratio (that’s right, we are introducing a new measure for Mobile Advertising – Tagged Ad Ratio) is increasing and we are starting to face the enviable situation of NOT ENOUGH messages… So, KEEP MESSAGING, FOLKS!!
Also, in the coming few weeks, we would be initiating a number of new features… So, do watch out!!!
