It has been a long time since the last post!! Seems, like there is going to be a storm after such a long calm. So, here we go:
Firstly, we had noticed that the typical user’s usage was limited to “logging in, Sending message, logging out“. Most users were not even using features like Add contacts, Add groups, etc.., Hence we decided to add “Did you know?” column to explain about the other features we have… After all, it is all about Convenience!!
Secondly, we have added a couple of Registration columns to get a better understanding about you, our user. Before someone starts flaming us, let me clarify, it is just two fields, which would take less than 10 seconds to choose.
Thirdly, we have hit a number of milestones in the past month. We had crossed the 10 million message mark on Jan 10th… We closed Jan, 2008 with Over 57 Lakh messages touching 12.4L mobiles…. A growth of over 50% monthly!!!
We also faced a number of challenges on the message delivery front… Though a lot of this was from the operator end, we did face a few issues with regards to our Engine… After a few sleepless nights & many a tweaking, we had solved the issue and our throughput has gone up by over 20%… Now, ALL messages are pushed in less than half a second!!! We plan to push this up further… More news as it happens.
Finally, on the advertising front, we have bagged a number of new campaigns, mostly from the Industry Biggies… Our TAR ratio (that’s right, we are introducing a new measure for Mobile Advertising – Tagged Ad Ratio) is increasing and we are starting to face the enviable situation of NOT ENOUGH messages… So, KEEP MESSAGING, FOLKS!!
Also, in the coming few weeks, we would be initiating a number of new features… So, do watch out!!!

very nice for providing this sms feature…& i am expecting one more feature here is adding contacts in a particular group like friends,business,etc… so that we can send message very fastly… more best feature with this is there is no need t type the each and every number… by adding that group the all contacts will be added directly, if we dont want to send any one in that group we can easily un selest the number with the help of chesk box feature if u will provide it or else we can delede that number…..so i am expecting this fetures in this 160by2 thank u for U …..

It would be very useful if the character limit could be increased. Even a 10 character increment will make a big difference as at times 82 is just not enough. If advertisers are more and smses are less, why not make the character limit for an sms the normal 160 characters and bundle along an entire 160 character advertisement along with that? This will make users send more smses as they can freely express themselves as well as giving the advertisers more space for the advertisments. Thanks for an excellent service!!

Awesome in short I would say about this site. One of the decent, fastest, and meticulously composed one. Great going guys, keep walking. I wish if we also have little more increased number count from 60 msgs/day to 100 msgs/day.

The Application really provides beneficial feature that help tremendously to the user to send sms to any place in India.One important thing is that it is really fast.
The Application would highly appreciable by the users if the message characters limit is extended to at least 120 characters.I suggest to include facilities that can send ASCII messages also.

I find a draw back in using the 160by2 site. When I add all my contacts I could not find an easy way to add them to a group easily. There should be a check box to the left side of each contact so that the same can be selected and sent to a particular group. What I want is that there should be some easy way to add my contacts into groups. please make such option and give me a communication.
