We receive a lot of feedback from our users on a regular basis, and we always yearn for more. So when one of our users sent us a mail about how 160by2 came to his rescue when his phone got crashed, we thought of getting some more ideas from him. Here are excerpts of our interaction with Chirag Jain, who has just completed his MBA and is a regular 160by2 user.
About how he came to know of 160by2
I am a net savvy person who heard about 160by2 about 4 months back from my friends who are addicted to SMSing!!! I believe 160by2 is a great service growing through word of mouth. All of us spend a lot of time online, so it is much easy to send SMS from PC rather than mobile, and it saves some money too!
His favourite feature on 160by2
Obviously “Contacts” is my favourite feature now on 160by2. When my phone got crashed, the first thing I was worried about was what would I do without all those phone numbers that I had in my mobile! I am looking for a job right now and had a lot of important contacts in my phone. Then fortunately 160by2 came to rescue as all my contacts were safe there. I could also download them easily. I also like the newly launched “Alerts” feature, as now I don’t get yelled at by my friends for not remembering their birthdays!
On what distinguishes 160by2 from competitors
I find 160by2 to be very user friendly. The site is very convenient to use and even the ads that go with my SMS are informative at times! The site is intuitive and clutter free. The site gets loaded quickly when we open and access it becoz of absence of large pictures and video which is very good. Also the SMS delivery is quick and reliable.
Suggestions for new features on 160by2
You can add a career section on your website and post the opening if any so that users can see it and make use of it or they can even pass it through word of mouth.

It would be a good idea to have a meter with every 160by2 user account informing the number of messages a user can send at a time after adjusting the number of messages sent in last 24hrs instead of a day account. As user has to send message to check the upcredited account before getting into action.

Man ur site is awesome…however, i have a suggestion….why dont u guys…give delievery acknowledgement to the users mobile ID…like that ways…u can even advertise by that particular delievery acknowledge message also….because i am get worried when ever i send a message and i dont know wheaher that particular person has really received the message or no….

VERY VERY GOOD website.. Very useful to keep in touch with people living out of states. I recomended it even to one of my friend living abroad. So he registered hei indian number & helps him keep in touch with us….

The only thing that annoys sometimes is the limit of sending only 10 SMS. can you remove this limation or atleast increase it.

This service is really great, there is a facility of SMS for what happened in that day in History, Instead the service should be to send NEWS headline 3-4 times a day. People are more intrested in knowing about whats happening in currently around them rather than what happened in the past, I think 160by2.com team should seriously think in this direction.

Its really a very good job done. Simplicity is the key point in 160by2.com.
Do continue with it.
I have really learnt to express my important messages in 80 characters.
Also I would just suggest that let the users allow to add a member in 2 groups at same time, which is not currently active.
And atleast 25 members should be able to get sms at one go.Which is currently restricted to 10.

160by2 is too good to have. thanks to 160by2 team. I have got one suggestion. Let 160by2 not limit the the msgs to 80 chars directly. Instead let it auomatedly split them into multiple msgs and send it at one go.

Hi,
Whenever I sign in to my account, I am directed to a new page which asks me to update my profile. I thought it must be because of signing after a span of few days. But it asks me every time when i signs in. I have to update my profile every time which is testing my patience.
A couple of days before, one Ms.Nisha called me and asked about the version of my browser. I checked and let her know thru e-mail but thereafter no reply and the problem is persisting.

haa a good site (good is a understatment) but sometime very ureliable doesnt deliever msgs u keep wondering wats rong y u r not getting the reply n then u com to knw the msg was infact never sent now they can say its the problem with the network but in some of such cases i actually tried to sent msgs from other sites(like indyarocks n there msgs were being transmitted properly) so dont knw wat the actual problem is
the second prioblem that i face using is actually cos i m a big fan of this site n keep sending msgs to my frns from this site but then the 10 msg limit is sometime is actualle very less there are other sites which actually allows to send unlimited msgs but they r not available on mobile urs is the only one(atleast in my knowledge it is) that we can acceess on mobile
i m a loyal user of this site from last 8 9 months n i just love this concept of urs guys but if there is some problems then there it is u need to address these issues

In this, sms which we sent is not deleting.if iam delting in ‘MY SMS’.but in ‘MY ACCOUNTS’ the message is not deleting.can u give me the way to delete the message permenantly.please give me the reply as soon as possible.

I think Vodafone in Mumbai is unofficially blocking the 160by2 service on its network. whenever i surf the net using gprs on my N72, there is no problem. but as soon as a enter 160by2 site, it doesnt connect. sometimes i am able to send 2-3 msgs in the morning but after that 160by2 gets block on Vodafone GPRS. this problem has started just now (4-5days). is anyone share this view?
